What I've been up to lately... (Recent Past & Into the Future)

19 of D.S. Martin's poems are to be featured at Reformed Journal over the 19 months from January 2023 to July 2024. These poems are inspired by John Donne's 19 Holy Sonnets and will appear on the 4th Tuesday of each month.

He will be contributing to an Imago evening, November 2, 2023 at 7:00 PM at Trinity College's Seeley Hall (University of Toronto) ― 6 Hoskin Avenue ― featuring Prof. Ron Dart.

The Christianity and Literature Study Group presents: A Poetry Celebration with D.S. Martin, Sunday May 28, 2023 at 5:30 PM at York University ― Keele Campus, Accolade East, Room 002. This is an open event in conjunction with the Humanities Congress; all poetry lovers are welcome.

On April 27th 2023 he will be presenting at the conference: "Secularism & the Pursuit of Transcendence" at McMaster Divinity College. His topic is "Poetry and Transcendence."

The official post-pandemic launch of D.S. Martin's poetry book Angelicus happened at St. Thomas's Church ― 383 Huron St., Toronto (19 November 2022); the video is now available on this site.

Emanuel Bible College (Kitchener, Ontario) has again featured D.S. Martin for one of their chapel services: November 8, 2022.

D.S. Martin taught the course ENG 306 Writing Poetry at Redeemer University in Ancaster, Ontario from January through April 2022.

D.S. Martin participated in various online events during the pandemic: a literary panel for Poetry Festival Singapore, August 1, 2021 ― being keynote speaker for the 2021 Fall Conference of the Inscribe Christian Writers' Fellowship, October 1 & 2, Edmonton, Alberta ― and reading for the launch of the anthology A Given Grace (Squircle Line Press) for the festival Poetry On The Move 2021 (Canberra, Australia) October 14-18. (Now available here).
